The Astadhayi, the monumental masterpiece of Panini's effulgent intelligence has become a perennial source of knowledge for modern linguists and comparative philologists in general and grammarians of Paninian school in particular to evolve and interpret the linguistic concepts and to unfold grammatical features. But in this work a sincere and humble attempt has been made by The Author to revive and explore some implicit problems based on the present text of the Astadhyayi. To be very specific, a critical analysis has been made about the position of the Tradition on 'One Name Section (Eka Samjna) and its application. And a systematic study has been pursued carefully to know why some anga, bha, pada and samhita rules are not contained in their proper sections namely Angasya, Bhasya, Padasya and Samhitayam respectively, but are lying outside. To make the hypothesis, of inconsistent occurrence of some sutras outside their proper sections, more relevant and pragmatic all possible sutras have been examined one by one by providing them with suitable examples or sometimes, putting those examples in the process of derivation.Printed Pages: 180.
