Situation and rights of women prisoners as a subject have long been neglected by criminologists and sociologists. Having studied many issues concerning women vis-a-vis Indian Constitution, Religious Laws, Laws discriminating women, she has published various articles in several prestigious journals and presented papers in various international, national and state level Seminars.
