This quality movement itself being less than a decade old, the literature available based on the Indian context is scarce. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which was established in 1994 to look into the quality concerns of the Indian higher education, as been busy since its inception in absorbing, evolving and adopting he EQA mechanism and in operationalising them to the Indian context.
